CARE OF THE DECEASED

  • BASIC FEE FOR PROFESSIONAL SERVICES OF FUNERAL DIRECTOR AND STAFF.....$1,095

    • Our basic fee is for professional expertise in assisting each family.  It includes but is not limited to a proportionate share of the taxes, licenses, utilities and business expenses necessary to serve the public in a professional manner.  Also included in this charge is the consultation with the family, clerical and administrative services, preparation and filing of necessary permits, consultations with the clergy, cemetery, crematory or common carrier assistance with insurance papers and planning the funeral or cremation.  The Basic Fee is also included in immediate burials, forwarding or receiving remains and anatomical domain service (refer to the Burial Services page in this site.)  There will be an additional charge for the direction and supervision each service requires.

    EMBALMING is the chemical process that provides the temporary preservation of the body and eliminates certain health hazards.  A person licensed by the state must complete this procedure.  Except in certain cases, embalming is not required by law such as a funeral with no viewing. 

    If you do not want embalming, you usually have the right to choose an arrangement that does not require you to pay the embalming fee such as Basic Cremation (refer to the Cremation Services page in this site for details) or Immediate Burial (refer to the Burial Services page in this site for details)....$225.00

    OTHER CARE OF THE DECEASED

    Washing and disinfection of unembalmed remains.....$95.00

    Dressing and Casketing and/or cosmetology.....$95.00

    Post autopsy or organ donation care.....$175.00

    Restoration charges.....$75 per hour

    Refrigeration charges (after 10 days).....$30 per day

    Care and custody while sheltering remains (non-refrigerated after 10 days).....$30 per day

    Clothing.....$150.00

    Air Tray.....$150.00

    Preparation and mailing of cremated remains.....$95.00 and up

    Hair dresser.....$50.00

    Scatter cremains in the Gulf of Mexico.....$95.00

    Hillsborough and Pasco County expediting fee for securing cremains and death certificates within three weeks.....$20.00

    Hillsborough County additional medical examiner's removal fee.....$25.00

    Removal and transfer of remains to crematory (Pinellas County).....$95.00

    Removal and transfer of remains to crematory (Hillsborough and Pasco counties).....$145.00

    Removal and transfer of remains to crematory (Polk, Manatee, Hernando and Sarasota counties).....$225

    Delivery of cremated remains to cemetary within 20 miles.....$100.00
